Cold Sore Salve

Ingredients: *olive oil, *lemon balm, *beeswax, *shea butter, *cocoa butter, l-lysine, vitamin e oil, peppermint & tea tree essential oils. (*organic ingredient)

Directions: Apply frequently at the very first signs of a cold sore, and everyday until healed. 

Olive oil can help to hydrate and nourish dry, cracked, or chapped lips. Olive oil contains fatty acids that can penetrate the skin and help to lock in moisture.

Lemon balm (Melissa Officinalis) is a powerful antiviral, proven to banish cold sores. 

Beeswax can alleviate the pain, reduce inflammation, help the skin lock in moisture and make the skin feel less irritated.

Shea butter and cocoa butter are both extremely moisturizing and may help to reduce the healing time of cold sores.

L-lysine is a potent cold sore remedy due to its antiviral effects that block the activity of arginine, which promotes HSV replication. Lysine is an essential amino acid that plays an important role in the body's production of collagen and other proteins. It has been found to be helpful in shortening the duration of and treating cold sores

Vitamin E oil applied topically to a cold sore appears to accelerate healing.

Tea tree essential oil is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.
