We’ve always used low heat when crafting our products, but we’ve recently refined our process with more precise temperature monitoring to keep heat as low and controlled as possible. Because of this, the chamomile’s natural blue color now shows through more. Same formula. Same ingredients. Just an even more refined process.

We do not use commercially purchased or deodorized tallow. Many mass-produced tallow products are rendered at very high temperatures, then deodorized and sometimes bleached to remove natural scent and color. This process strips away many of the delicate, skin-loving nutrients that make real tallow so beneficial in the first place.
At Herb House Apothecary, we use only pure suet, never meat trimmings, sourced from a trusted local farm right here in Central New York. We render it ourselves in small batches at low, controlled temperatures to preserve its natural integrity, vitamins, and fatty acid profile. Every jar is handcrafted in our home with care, intention, and respect for the animal.
This is real, traditional tallow, the way it was meant to be.
Please note this is a natural, tallow and oil-based product. With warmer weather, keep it out of direct sunlight or hot cars just in case, and get to your mailbox ASAP. it’s still fully usable if softened, just stick it in a cool location to firm it back up. Consistency will change in high or low temperatures. this is a natural, oil-based product with no stabilizers or fillers!

I have been using this on my face for a few months now. I LOVE this product. I suffered from psoriasis/eczema, and my face has healed up tremendously! I am so extremely happy with this product. I use it along with a little bit of castor oil. But this chubby stick deserves all the credit. My dry skin patches are basically gone. My 10-year-old made a comment this morning about me having less wrinkles.!!! if that’s not the best gift of all (I don’t use only clean products on my face)

I've been using this stick on my hands at work. I work in a medical clinic and my hands get hammered by washing and sanitizer. This tallow and castor oil stick has saved my hands from cracking due to dryness. I love it and keep it with me all the time.

This stuff has become my new favorite everything balm, lotion, cream. I use the chubby stick everywhere (mostly). I use it as a pre moisturizer before my basic face lotion/sun protection as well as my night time go to after washing my face. I use it on my lips, dry hands and my body and it has made a huge difference in the dryness of my skin. I was afraid to use it on my face at first because my eyes are super sensitive and I tend to be really oily (Although dry) and this stuff is incredible as my face is not greesy at all, even after a full day with no touch ups. I will continue to order and use the chubby stick religiously

I found these products in an ad and had been looking for a castor oil product. I read up about the chubby stick and loved the ingredients. I've been using it for a couple of weeks on my lips that always peel and my under eyes. I love how easily it goes on and how supple it makes my skin feel. It's improved the look of my under eyes too. I love the chubby stick!

My first order from Herb House Apothecary included the Chubby Stick, a known favorite amongst the community, and might I say that little stick packs a punch I recently had gotten bangs and burned my forehead with the curling iron (which is actually a frequent occurrence with or without bangs). I probably had the burn for maybe 2 days before I actually received my first order in the mail and figured I could see what healing power the chubby stick had right off the bat. When I tell you I had immediate relief on my burn...it was incredible. Even burn gel doesn't work that fast! Within 3 days (1st pic is from April April 2nd; 2nd pic is from April 5th), my forehead went from having a scabby burn that looked like it could've scarred to completely clear - no markings whatsoever. I have an autoimmune disease and wounds feel like they take forever to heal, but I can honestly say I have never had a burn clear up this quickly.

This spot has been on my husbands hand for a few months now from it being so cold and him wearing his wedding ring outside for long periods of time. He had to stop wearing his wedding ring because it got so pealed, crusty and bloody. He’s always been hesitant about my natural remedies cabinet because of how he was raised but after trying everything he could think of, I talked him into trying this chubby stick and it is almost healed up completely now after a week and he can now wear his wedding ring! We love this stuff! My lips get so bad in the cold months and I use it on my son’s little eczema spots and it’s been amazing! I’ll be buying this stuff as long as possible! I love getting things and testing them out and I don’t say that to often about one specific product!

Received my Chubby Stick right before leaving on a hiking trip to WA. I always try to pack light and this is the best purchase ever! Easily fits in my carry on bag and an easy hands free way to apply my face moisturizer! I simply find it more convenient to carry around with you than a tube or jar of lotion.
I have been loving the chubby stick on my lips and on my eyes- I’ve noticed a reduction of irritation on my eyelids (allergies) since starting. I was nervous about odor but it actually smells really good!

Amazing product! Has literally made a world of difference ob my face. I had a baddd forehead line. Has really reduced it and had very old looking eyes at 45 years old.
