The frankincense tears are slow infused directly into organic olive oil, offering a broader spectrum of skin benefits than essential oil alone. Unlike steam-distilled essential oil, frankincense tears retain therapeutic resins, boswellic acids, and polysaccharides, compounds known to soothe inflammation, support regeneration, and improve skin tone and elasticity.

Our Tallow Quality Promise
We do not use commercially purchased or deodorized tallow. Many mass-produced tallow products are rendered at very high temperatures, then deodorized and sometimes bleached to remove natural scent and color. This process strips away many of the delicate, skin-loving nutrients that make real tallow so beneficial in the first place.
At Herb House Apothecary, we use only pure suet, never meat trimmings, sourced from a trusted local farm right here in Central New York. We render it ourselves in small batches at low, controlled temperatures to preserve its natural integrity, vitamins, and fatty acid profile. Every jar is handcrafted in our home with care, intention, and respect for the animal.
This is real, traditional tallow, the way it was meant to be.
A Note About Summer Heat:
Please note this is a natural, tallow and oil-based product. With warmer weather, keep it out of direct sunlight or hot cars just in case, and get to your mailbox ASAP. itās still fully usable if softened, just stick it in a cool location to firm it back up. Consistency will change in high or low temperatures. this is a natural, oil-based product with no stabilizers or fillers!

The tallow and castor oil chubby stick is a must! I use it every morning, it leaves my face feeling moisturized without feeling greasy!
During the winter months I deal with alot of dryness. Around my eyes , and nose area , and also my hands and cuticles. This combination works amazing
People are commenting that it looks like Iām wearing makeup when Iām not wearing any makeup when I use the face restore product. My chapped nose has healed and feels like it has a wonderful moisture barrier. At first, I was really skeptical because Iām a vegetarian and I didnāt want to use animal-based products, but this tallow castor oil experience makes sense to me when I think about our origins. I have been unable to adequately put castor oil in my skincare routine. It has always been too sticky, but the long-lasting moisture from castor oil added to tallow is next level. Face Restore and Blossom Balm have successfully and beautifully combined tallow & castor oil, and my skin LOVES it. Dare I say, this 64-year old woman has glowing skin again.

The restore cream is great! It smells different to the chubby stick but it works great. A little really goes a long way but it will melt into your skin and in the morning your skin is still sikly soft. Just started using it, so im waiting to see how it will wotk on dark marks.

This is one of the few products I use on my face. Iāve tossed all the commercial stuff and use Face restore as my lotion replacement. My face has never been better and it is the smoothest itās ever been as well. Love it.

I love this new face restore lotion. I have super dry, aging skin and I have been using this lotion at night and then ising Sara's Youth Portion in the mornings. My skin looks amazing. I have also been using it in my hands and my desert dry hands are looking better too.
I was hesitant to try this honestly bc of what it is, but I received a sample and gave it a shot and I am telling you, this is the BEST stuff! Iāve since bought a bigger container and love it. Iāve had bad patches of eczema around my eyes ever since my daughter was born and this is the only product that has completely healed this sensitive area. I also use it on my entire face and can see such a more even skin tone. Saraās products are wonderful!
I loved this product in the summer after a day in the sun and now I really like it after a cold snowy windy day. It really replenishes my skin. This winter has been exceptionally snowy and cold in the mountains where I live. I usually use it on my face but I have been using it on my hands and legs too. Itās creamy and non greasy but has a nice weight to it. I love the ratios that Sara puts into her mixtures. It is the correct recipe for me!! Extremely pleased.

I use Saraās Potion on my face but love using this tallow on my wrinkles as extra moisturizer. During colder months or when I feel my skin is dehydrated I use it to help with that as well.

Tallow & Castor Oil Face Restore I've been using this product for a while and really like how it feels on my skin. It leaves my face feeling soft, nourished, and deeply hydrated without being greasy or heavy. It's clear that the ingredients are doing something good. That said, the scent is not my favorite. The natural "cooked fat" smell can be a bit strong. If I could change one thing, Iād add a light, natural fragranceāmaybe lavender or orangeāto help mask that scent without interfering with the productās purity. Overall, it's a great product for hydration and skin health. A little scent tweak would make it even better.
